Jiayi is a passionate automotive UI/UX designer with a strong interest in cars and transportation. He holds a Master's degree in Interactive Design from Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor's degree in Web and New Media. With expertise in UI/UX design theory and practical experience in the field, Jiayi brings a unique perspective to his work in intelligent interactive design for automobiles.

Currently at Toyota Motor North America HQ (Plano, TX), Jiayi contributes his UI/UX design skills to Toyota next generation Multimedia systems. He has valuable experience in user experience research and translating ideas into reality through UI element building. Jiayi also had experience of maintaining and updating in-car smart surfaces like center stack infotainment systems, digital clusters, rear seats entertainment systems, and even Augment Reality heads-up displays. His meticulous attention to detail and dedication to pixel-perfect designs are instrumental in delivering exceptional solutions.

Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and InVision, Jiayi collaborates closely with 3D designers, motion designers, and HMI engineers to create harmonious and immersive experiences. He excels in managing multiple projects and iterations, ensuring timely updates based on client feedback and requirements.

During his studies, Jiayi conducted in-depth user research for Ford Motor Company, optimizing the user experience of the Ford Certified Pre-Owned website. He also provided innovative user journeys for personalized car tuning customization based on dealership. Through effective communication and collaboration with peers from different backgrounds, Jiayi contributed to research, prototyping, and high-fidelity design, shaping successful solutions in the field of interaction design.
